How to Convert from Rhapsody .rax files to iTunes

After banging our collective heads against the wall for several minutes, we discovered that an easy way to covert from the proprietary .rax music files used by Rhapsody/Real Networks is to simply burn the songs to a CD, then import from the CD itself to iTunes, or most other CD Ripping/ Music Services applications.

Major labels experimenting with unrestricted MP3s downloads

Some major record labels including EMI Music and Sony BMG are experimenting with offering unrestricted MP3s downloads. The releases are part of an experiment to gauge demand for tracks that can be played on any digital music player capable of playing MP3s, one of the oldest music compression formats.

The digital download market has heretofore been dominated by Apple's iTunes delivers songs in a proprietary format.
